What to Expect During Solar Panel Installation
First, we will qualify your property with an address and electric bill to give you an initial estimate of what a system would cost and how much solar power it would produce. This can be done without visiting your home or business and there is no obligation.
If you were interested in going further, we would then meet with you and examine your home or business to determine the best configuration for your new solar panels. We also work with local inspectors and your utility company to make sure all necessary paperwork is in order. When the day comes to install the panels, we first take safety precautions, such as taping off the area enacting a full OSHA-approved safety plan, and installing safety ropes. Mass Renewables does not use subcontractors, one of our team members will meet with you and go over the planned installation and make sure you are fully aware of all the details. Our licensed electricians and approved install crew will install all the equipment and call to set up all necessary inspections. Once the system is approved for interconnection your new NET meter is installed and we can commission your system. You are now producing your own power from the sun!
Our service does not stop at the installation of your system. We will set up your monitoring site, walk you through the downloading and registration steps and make sure that you are able to independently monitor your system 24/7. We will also have access to your site for any remote troubleshooting. Upon request, we will perform a complete system check after the first year at no cost to you.
TESLA BATTERY STORAGE INSTALLATIONS
The Mass Renewables team will schedule a site survey to assess your home’s readiness and recommend any necessary electrical system upgrades. We’ll then recommend the ideal location for your Powerwall, pull the necessary permits, and get you on the installation schedule. Wiring the system involves installing a Gateway to connect to the main electrical panel and the utility meter, this process will require an extended power shutdown while we re-wire your circuits. The gateway also connects to the Tesla Powerwall battery and solar inverter if applicable, essentially becoming the brains of the system. Our team will perform a simulated grid outage to confirm that the battery is working correctly immediately after installation. We will then walk you through the registration process and the download of the Tesla App. Once the app is installed we can offer a quick tutorial of how to optimize the batteries performance and you are on your way!
