Mike Kelley

Owner and Founder

Mike Kelley is co-owner of Mass Renewables Inc. and lives in Bellingham, MA with his wife Kathy. Mike is a life-long resident of Massachusetts, and their three daughters still call Massachusetts home. He has been in the solar business since 2009 and is certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners as a “NABCEP PV Installer” which is the most prestigious certification for solar professionals. Mike was drawn to solar energy because we have the technology in place, generous incentives are available, and there is an endless source of pollution-free energy every day when the sun rises.

Mike has been happy to be part of the transition of solar over the last 15 years and battery systems in the last 8 years – the first Tesla Powerwall in MA was installed in Mike’s house in 2016!

With Federal and State incentives sparking the industry, solar is giving homeowners a return on their money that exceeds typical investments and is a pollution-free source of power. He takes satisfaction in providing these opportunities with the Mass Renewables team and looks forward to giving homeowners this clean renewable source of power and energy independence for years to come.

Jeff was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts where he met his soon to be wife Carol. Jeff & Carol moved to Medway where they remained for over twenty years and raised two children.

Jeff & Carol recently built a new home in Douglas, MA where they were able to incorporate solar and battery storage into their building plans for a sustainable future.

Jeff and Mike Kelley have been business partners since 1989 and started in the solar business in 2009. With their wives being sisters, this is truly a family business. Jeff has been in the construction industry his entire adult life, and feels that his thirty years of construction experience helps Mass Renewables in its diversity, giving it the ability to take on many different types of projects.

Jeff applies his thirty years of construction experience to his day-to-day as co-owner and project manager of Mass Renewables and holds the unlimited CSL license for the company.

Jeff’s goal for Mass Renewables is to adapt to the technology and outlive any government incentives as renewables gradually overtake fossil fuels as a primary source of energy. Jeff looks to serve his local area with renewable energy options for many years to come.
