Nick formally joined Mass Renewables as our Lead Master Electrician in April of 2015, but truth be told Nick has been with us since day one. A Norfolk native and current Bellingham resident Nick is a 1998 graduate of the electrical program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School and has been working in the field since. Nick was one of the first subcontracted electricians who began working for us when Mass Renewables originally opened its doors in 2009.
Nick has a passion for the outdoors and the environment overall. As an avid outdoorsman, Nick loves spending as much time as possible camping and hiking with his wife and 4 children. That strong connection to the outdoors is what led Nick to start working with Mass Renewables and gaining as much knowledge about solar and other forms of renewable energy sources as possible.
Nick’s extensive knowledge of Residential, Commercial, and Photovoltaic electrical systems and codes is one of the reasons Mass Renewables is a leader in the industry and has earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
Jeff lives in Medway Massachusetts with his wife Carol and two children. Mike and Jeff have been partners for many years and with their wives being sisters this is truly a family business. Jeff has been in the construction industry his entire adult life. From residential building and remodeling to large-scale commercial construction, he has had his hands in most every trade. He feels that his thirty years of construction experience helps Mass Renewables in its diversity, giving it the ability to take on many different types of projects.
Always being an environmentalist at heart, Jeff feels the move into the solar industry was a good fit. He applies thirty years of construction experience to his day-to-day as co-owner and project manager of Mass Renewables. Jeff’s goal for this company is to adapt to the technology and outlive any government incentives as renewables become parity and eventually overtake fossil fuels as a primary source of energy. He wants to be serving our local area with renewable energy options for many years to come.
Mike Kelley is co-owner of Mass Renewables Inc. and lives in Bellingham with his wife Kathy and three daughters. He is a life-long resident of Massachusetts and has been in the solar business since 2009. Mike has been certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners as an “NABCEP PV Installer” which is the most prestigious certification for solar professionals. Mike was drawn to solar energy because of the fact that we already have the technology in place, the incentives available, and the endless source of pollution-free energy every day when the sun rises.
Mike is happy to see the transition of solar in the last 7 years and is proud to be a part of the movement. With Federal and State incentives sparking the industry to where we are now with equipment costs down and with decreasing incentives, solar is giving homeowners a return on their money that exceeds typical investments and is a pollution-free source of power. He takes satisfaction in providing these opportunities with the Mass Renewables team and looks forward to giving homeowners this clean renewable source of power and energy independence for years to come.
